TKLD- Chapter 4- You Did What?

This was a quicky one, my apologies if this was rushed and short.

"You Did What?" is the title, Can you guess what happened?

   Violet gave me a frightened look and she interlaced her fingers, dread overpowered me. She took a glance at my face which was sympathetic.

    "Theodore," She had never said my full name in front of me before. "Had we blacked out yesterday, like not remember?" She sobbed, trying to keep her calm it was hard enough to keep myself calm.

    "How would I know if I blacked-out too?" I sounded aggravated about to see her burst in tears, I took a deep breath and put my hand on her shoulder. "Go take a bath and relax." I suggested.

 She gave me a solid nod and grabbed the towel beside her, she started the bath and took a glance at me. She was about to undress

"Oh sorry." I  chuckled twisting the door nob to leave, a stiffing sigh made me stop in my tracks. I spun around to notice Violet smiling at me with her clothes over her body.

"Theo remember what I said last night?" She wanted to talk about this now, while she's undressed with a chance of what we did last night. I kept my eyes darted away from her view point of her body.

"Yeah," I said softly Theo,I love you no matter what. The words hummed in my ears like a sad lullaby.

"It's true, take a seat while I take my bath, it won't be long." Violet stated as she dropped her clothes and entered the steaming bathtub. I could have stayed but I left the room as she grabbed the nearby soap bar, I took my self to her room to enjoy some sanity.

How could I explain to Violet what happened last night, We fell asleep, passed out, I had to come up with something to calm the woman. My nerves were jittery, my hands turned clammy at the thought. Violet entered the room with a smirk on her face, she took her seat next to me and gave me a hug. She looked as if she was thinking on what happened.

 

 "What if we did it? If we did, maybe I'm pregnant." She made the hug tighter, My eyes grew wide at the thought what if I did, we're not married or even engaged yet.

"We aren't ready for a baby, besides we don't know if  we did it." I fretted, I'm  not psychically ready to take care of a screaming toddler just yet. Her expression grew grim at my words and hung her head low, To make her feel comfortable I rubbed her back, a unsettling silence filled the room. I bit my lip and pulled her hair out of her face.

"Violet--" The door opened suddenly.

Frankie stood in the doorway and took his spot in the conversation,

"I couldn't help but to solve this mystery. You did black out, and boy did you lock the door." He chuckled at himself leaving both Violet and I in awe, We did it. Clutching his cane Frankie resumed.
"I picked the lock, came in and saw both of you under the covers. I though you Violet would have found a ugly guy and have kids with him than him." His cane pointed at me shaking from Frankie's hands. Violet was the first to speak,

"Did you see anything?" She asked softly

"No, Covers remember?" He replied taking a seat.

"Condoms?" I chimed in, being afraid

 "Nope. Good luck with that one, Robert." He said my name wrong on purpose. The door once again closed leaving us alone in silennce.

 I embraced Violet in my arms, thinking we could have a child with each other. With that new hope made me get excited for our oncoming baby.

"Oh Theo,"  Violet smiled warmly "We can pull more money together and raise this child. Going between your home and mine."

"Why not together?" I asked kneeling down on my knee and took out a small black box, inside sat a beautiful ring sat awaiting to bast on Violet's finger."Baby or no baby I want to be with you." Her face lit up with a huge smile I took the ring out,

"Will you Violet Nash, take my hand in marrage?" The smile on my face grew bigger than before.

"Yes, I will." She breathed embracing me once more. She placed her hand on her chest, "Forever together."
